Warne, in conjunction with Beam of Light Technologies, is proud to introduce our BTMK-10 Green Laser Aiming System - a field tested and proven green laser aiming system for the AR-15 family of rifles.  Over the past 24 months this unit has been sold solely to the US armed forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and is being used primarily on road blocks and convoys reducing casualties in the EOF (escalation of force) protocol. As a non-lethal force protection countermeasure, this device helped to reduce hostilities against individuals who placed themselves in a situation that could have proven harmful to them.  The intensely bright and precisely focused green laser beam drastically limited the need for EOF to a more lethal level, according to troops on the ground.  Used in day and night time EOF situations, the US Army Rapid Equipping Force reported a 60-80% reduction of hostilities at checkpoints and road blocks when using the green laser. The BTMK-10 has been so successful in the armed forces, we have made it available to the public for home security and Law Enforcement.  The unit consists of a 5mw green laser diode inside of an aluminum housing, which also holds the Lithium CR-123 battery. The round housing is encapsulated in the Warne Adjustable Laser Mount with windage and elevation adjustments.  The bottom of this mount is designed to fit a Mil-Spec Picatinny rail or a Weaver style cross slot base.  The BTMK-10 kit includes a barrel mount designed to fit a .710-.740 barrel diameter found on AR-15/ M-16A2 and M-4 current manufacture rifles.  This mount presents a Picatinny rail to accept the laser device.  By mounting the laser inline and above the rifle bore, two precision points of aim can be achieved with less than 6” of maximum ordinate allowing for point and shoot situations from zero to 300 yards. Most other laser aiming devices mount below the barrel or off to the side, which only allows for one specific point of aim. This often creates confusion to the operator as to whether they are inside or outside their engagement envelope.  A momentary pressure switch is included in the BTMK-10 kit to maximize battery life.
